HAHA So True!

[–] [email protected] 66 points 2 months ago

The phrase “Haha So True!” (referred to as ‘HST’ henceforth to save space and out of respect for the readers’ precious time who would rather engage in intellectual conversations elsewhere than keep repeating “Haha So True!” over and over again

HST

On Reddit we had r/ImmaterialScience for these. Is there a community here too?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago

Here, it seems. At least, that's where I see them posted the most often.

Sheldon's gonna be endlessly amused that Rajesh switched to social sciences

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Okay but I wanna know the findings of the study

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

OK, I thought this was a study that was actually performed (and just happened to be written by a snarky author) until I got to the part about the effort scores. This is some high quality absurdity.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Look at the author names and the university they're from

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Honestly, just engaging a bit would help a ton. Some people aren't good conversationalist so they use memes to try and bond.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago

And on the other hand, some people end a 6 hour voice call with Obamacrons

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

I love the departments that they come from. Surely they are not real!?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

I had no idea Rajesh Koothrappali had a real PhD

[–] UncleStewart 3 points 2 months ago

Don't reinforce the truthness, that's dangerous!

That paper wasn't representative enough for use on the real world. Always go with one of the fun-based alternatives, not HST.
