I know a guy who was brought to the US illegally as a teen and is now in his 30s. Works as a contractor and started his own business. Truly one of the nicest and most generous people I know. Pays taxes, employs people, and does everything we do but he just isn't officially a citizen. He married an American and they have an 8 year old son who adores him. I hate thinking about the turmoil and sadness him being deported would cause his wife and son.

Policy shift? Where did it shift from?
I could see it.
