You know.. satire that's not incorrect is probably the saddest type.

I know people who chose not to vote because of the political ad about Kamala Harris giving prison inmates access to gender affirmation surgery/care. They didn't look into it any further, they just heard that same ad about 20 times a day for at least a week and it stuck.

But the genocide must continue.

It's definitely going to now and protesting 100% won't do anything. If you're even allowed to in the next 4 years.

Protesting would certainly do something

Just the right type of protests

You've got more faith than me. There are already talking about classifying groups as terrorists. I imagine anti government protesters will be high on that list.

CrimethInc had a very good section in the Ex Worker podcast, they made the point that protesting with "no one is above the law" doesn't mean shit when the law is designed against you, you can't protest that someone is evil when they control the institution that defines evil. They argued that the only way to protest against the injustices that could come towards the states is to just ignore the law, take the risk of prison and political persecution.

The extent someone agrees with that, is well quite variable - not many people are willing to risk prison or death for the cause they claim to support.
