The Youtubers generally know not to sink to the community level of toxicity, but they go overboard on positivity and lose credibility.

Yep, this is why I think "distros" using the same DE, should really combine efforts and focus on providing "customisation packs" for the base OS and DE

A lot of distros are doing the same things with the same results.

Most Linux reviews are about the installer, if it’s fully FOSS, and screenshots of the desktop environment. It’s rare the reviewer tries to do some actual work on it or demonstrates advanced features.
