Comic panels taken out of comics so we can make fun of them!! We love the golden age stuff!

Rules:

  1. Comics must come from actual comic books. No AI or Photoshops.

  2. Single panels are preferred.

  3. Comics should be unintentionally funny. Spider-man cracking wise is not what this is about.

  4. Don't be a dick.

  5. I can't believe I've had to add this... NO RACISM.

Well isn't that cute... a government agent accusing a "dirty hippie" of doing the exact thing the government did to its' own people - forcefully giving LSD to the unwitting and/or unwilling.

The government used to provide people with free LSD? God, I really was born in the wrong time period

Wait till you find out about them putting uranium dust on orphanage porridge in the late 1940s-early 50s, to study the effects of radiation on humans. The fucking monsters took the kids to ballgames at Fenway in Boston, but they had to be good little children first, eat every last little bit of that porridge, leave their plates clean.

MK Ultra. Not nearly as fun as you might imagine. The wiki article doesn't even get into the depths of depraved insanity. The Behind the Bastards episodes really get in deep. Some of their best work in my opinion.

Lol, that's basically cops and fentanyl now.

I dust all my belongings and garments with it. Keeps me invisible to them.

They could OD just from looking at you. They are highly susceptible.

Someone once threw LSD at me... knocked me out cold for two days.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Jesus the mass of LSD that would be required to be thrown by a hippie and knock out a cop.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

Enough to get the whole multiverse high!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

I'm picturing a hippy tearing a tab off a blotter and throwing it like a shuriken.

A literal gallon. Out of a milk jug.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Why would anyone waste LSD on a cop?

[–] [email protected] 28 points 3 months ago (2 children)

One of the established "bad" effects of LSD is involuntary trips. People who've never dosed before and were unwittingly dosed can have really bad trips; during one gvnnt test in the 60/70's, some involuntary government worker committed suicide because he thought he was going crazy.

Giving someone LSD without their knowledge or consent is no bueno.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 months ago

You're not wrong about the consent, especially about psychedelics, but going crazy and being completely zonked are two obverse effects. Like, if the panel said something about Ketamine instead, it make more sense.

Frank Olson is who you are thinking about I believe

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

Yup, that was the poor bastard. Threw himself out of his hotel window.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

They wouldn't. It's the same propaganda copa now use with fentanyl.
