There are actual cleaners for such things.
Orange stains in the bath are generally rust, removable with things like lime-a-way.
Stoves are generally enamel, which scrubs clean with hot water and most kitchen cleaners.
As for things like prior damage, in the Way Back Times, written documentation when you moved in was key (everywhere I've lived had a move in inspection sheet, to protect landlords as much as the tenant). Then Polaroids when they became ubiquitous. Today you have a camera in your pocket, why did you not take a bunch of pictures?
All that said, don't be afraid to file a case in Small Claims court to get your deposit back. Judge's there see the same landlords all the time, and "are tired of their shit" (actual quote from a Small Claims judge). They seem to enjoy settling cases against shitty landlords.
