Feels like someone found out Halloween exists and is an IP that can be milked.

While yes, it does sound like that, if Carpenter and the movie producers are involved the odds of it being a decent game and not just a reskinned cash grab are higher.

I can't wait for the knife skin microtransactions. For only $9.99, your knife can be pink!

Look, I love John Carpenter, but he hasn't made a good flick in literally over 15 years.

Vampires, Ghosts of Mars, and The Ward, his last three films, were literally garbage.

Like I love watching bad movies and laughing at them but those three are so fucking bad they aren't on my "so bad it's good" lists.

Escape from LA was the last halfway decent film he helmed and that was 1996.

I don't have a lot of faith he will bring much to the table.

That is a reasonable take, although Vampires is on my so bad it is good list.

They found that out decades ago. Hell there was even an Halloween game on the Atari 2600 lol

Am I the only one who sets the expectations SUPER fucking low when the announcement includes that it's an Unreal Engine 5 game? Since when is that a selling point? When is that even important? It makes it sound like they're so unconvinced of their own game that they're hoping people will care just because of the engine.

I know one of those 2 games will be asymmetrical multiplayer based on Boss Games being the dev.

I hope the other isnt MP. We need more single player games based off classic horror IP.

Well I’m interested but I don’t have high hopes.

I hope they get Jamie Lee in it. Wouldn't be Halloween without her.

Based solely on the 80s horror IP and Unreal being a selling point... this is another asymmetrical multiplayer game. Woohoo? Who wants these?
