Glad they are worried about the real issues.

….

Also do some damn target practice next time

Give the kid some credit! A 400 ft shot and got an ear is actually pretty good.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Bit dumb to aim for the head if you might only get one shot.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I’m not sure he had a lot of time to plan that shot.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

If you were in his case you wouldn't think that through ahead of time?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yeah I'd think he's wearing a vest...aim for the head.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That's fair. I'd say don't shoot someone in general but yeah.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

In general yes.

Me now? Yes. If I were to do such a thing it wouldn’t be with that tool from that perch, etc.

Me at 20? I might not have much more foresight.

But, you know he knew the outcome. And when you are in that state of mind, some things slip through the cracks along with your sanity.

Yeah probably. I do wonder if he told anyone about it beforehand.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Probably not? I’m curious if he was having health issues. The photos of him at the scene had him looking very thin, but some others online are not like that.

Really no scope? I mean, that’s very impressive while under stress.

Especially from a semi-auto.

Maybe this will be the start of a new tradition for the RNC. If you kill the candidate you become the new candidate.

Victory Royale.

This is really going to inconvenience old people with walkers. But at least they can keep their AR-15s mounted to their wheelchairs.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Personally I'm just imagining mounting two Uzi's to either side of walker. Kind of a poor man's AT-AT

seems their need to be pro-gun absolutist for their platform put them in a bit of a catch 22 ;)

Why not tennis balls? Please don't make me read the article!

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

It doesn't give a reason, but lists their ban alongside "paint-ball guns", so I'd guess they're simply a nuisance - in that you could biff them on stage without much risk of rebuke.

Near but not inside

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago

Fine, make me upgrade to raquet balls. Y'all brought this on yourselves.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Hmmm... Y'all remember when there was a mass shooting at an RNC softball game? Iirc nothing came of it but I certainly feel like these gatherings are kind of... prime targets, no?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

No. The only ballgame where such a shooting occurred was the congressional baseball game practice in 2017, afaik.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

I think that's the one I was thinking about. It was a while ago.
