First trench warfare makes a comeback, and now this?

I won't be surprised if they actually manage to find a use for them again. If only as some form of decoy to make an enemy reveal their position

With all the drones in use I'm amazed we haven't seen air raid balloons make a comeback.

Unlikely, simply because precision aim is much more common. Anything that's not comically high-altitude is going to get spotted and eventually sniped.

But like, unironically. I’m surprised that high-endurance airships and zeppelins are not being used as AEW platforms or something like that.

And what with project dragon and those new cargo plane rotary launchers they just came up with, you could just make a few aerial missile zeppelins.

I will neither confirm nor deny whether I enjoy Ace Combat to a medically-concerning degree.

If we're bringing back old army stuff then I vote for the Drummer Boys to be next. They really help morale.

Oh, and gay sex. If it worked for the greeks it will work of us
