Bruh they haven’t shut up for the past couple days, I’m using Memmy for now but I guess I better give sync a try since it’s apparently so great. I don’t want ads tho

I mean it's a pretty cool feature. Do you know any other app out there that allows it? It's pretty damn innovative.

Settings shortcut: View type > Description font

Bruh it's so cool.

that's awesome

Using Connect currently, and it's great for free. And no ads. Tried Sync, but didn't care for it. Not sure what all the fuss is about.

Same here. Tried Sync, felt odd and wasn't to my liking so I went back to using Connect.

Connect is very polished. It was my main for a few weeks, but like the hoarder I am, I keep installing apps and switching between them. Right now I'm with arctius, voyager and infinity.

Infinity is not yet feature complete, but browsing feel is very very satisfying. Voyager is the most complete, arctius is like voyager but has less polish less QOL features.

Turn this setting on and you'll want it in every app imaginable. It's a game changer for me.

Settings shortcut: Experimental > Sliding panel style drawer

The whole pay a subscription to remove ads really puts me off of sync. Not sure why I would move to a platform with ads no matter the features or look it offered

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You don't need to sub, it's $20 to remove ads forever

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (2 children)

The thread I read this morning said $20 a year, are you sure they’ve added a permanent option? Still why would I pay that when other apps are ad free for free

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Yeah there's a $20 one time fee to remove ads. It's right here:

Settings shortcut: Settings > Remove ads

[–] [email protected] -2 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Or I could have no ads on Memmy for free… tough choice that…

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Then do that? The fuck you here for?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I mean it's a software developed by someone. If you don't feel like it's worth it then that's fine, but to many, Sync is worth the premium.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Yeah it's permanent, the other yearly thing is for a subscription that adds other features that need a server to run.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well correct me if I'm wrong but Memmy is an iOS only app so you're using an iPhone/iPad and Sync is an Android app.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

There's a setting for that, probably

I'm using Sync , off and on. I haven't seen a single ad yet.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Same here, not a single ad in 3 days of use
