While we will try our best, lemmy.ml/c/transgender is far more open to the fediverse, and also to trolls. One of the site admins of lemmy.ml, nutomic, is also a transphobe, while hexbear is ran mostly by trans people and has a very active trans community.

Thank you, Steve Nolan, for being a voice of reason. Reversing this policy would absolutely signal that the district does not support queer kids. Instead, conservatives want to be able to out trans kids to their parents. A lot of kids hide being trans for their own safety; shitty parents will abuse trans kids, gaslight them, send them to conservative / religious therapists, send them to conversion camps, disown their kids, leave them homeless, and more. Ask me how I fucking know.
