It is. The pier gave it away, didn't it?
Looks like OOB to me
Yeah guy
I used to take the Montreal girls on that beach for a bit of well, yeah... Good times!
Did you only eat the lobster or also prepare it? One question I've always asked myself is whether you can prepare lobster without cooking it alive?
You can, if you use a knife and make a quick incision in the head you can kill them quickly and painlessly before boiling them.
(Video shows how it's done, just in case anyone doesn't want to see that)
Seems like most TV shows make people do that now instead of boiling alive too
Yeah, you take a sharp knife and cut the head in half lengthwise. Then steam. I know there's lobster sushi as well but I'm not sure how it's butchered.
Whole Foods let you pick out your lobster, then take it and place it into a machine called the CrustaStun , throw a switch, and electrocute it in front of you.
😧
Thank you very much for your answers! I have become a bit smarter.
Hi, usually when you want to add an update to your Original comment, simply edit the original and add an UPDATE: or an EDIT: tag. That's how I usually see people going about it and I think it makes a lot of sense in thread forums.
That sounds like a good method.
Boiled with the rubber bands? Those are supposed to be removed to avoid rubber flavour in the lobster.
Hot tips if you're the cook. If it's resturant it's a solid low score review :S
Lobster's pretty dope though.
I bought it cooked from a farmers market. The rubber luckily didn't change the taste. I'll keep that in mind if I ever get to cook my own though, thaks!
Looks like you got a "chicken" (1 to 2 pounds) they are the best! I would rather let the old boys keep up the population than eat them. Tough and I grew up in a New England seafood restaurant. We refused to carry anything bigger.
That's great! Looks sweet to eat a lobster at the beach like that. Im a bit jealous!
20+ years in New England and I never tasted a rubber band. I've eaten 100's...
