I totally blocked from my memory the very brief period when holograms were a thing, and then no one ever spoke of them again. Even Tupac performed "live" via hologram iirc

Such a silly moment in time. Pretty remarkable though how accurately The Empire Strikes Back predicted holograms to look way back in 1980. Pretty much exactly how these things looked.

Pretty sure holograms existed when Star Wars was made. Probably different styles, like projected on glass panes, but I’m not sure what cnn was using.

It felt like cosmic justice when he was on celebrity jeopardy. He didn't know a damn thing, which was true to my idea of him.
