Yeah, I have had some personal issues which have kept me from keeping the community alive.

I really could use some help! Just stick to the rules and make sure others do, too!

Also, there’s a Plex release forum, and if you fav it, you get email updates on every Plex release/update before it gets posted anywhere. It contains the platform, version number, and a new/fixed list. Subscribe to this, and use it for new version posts. I’ll chat with you more re: tweaks if they’re needed!

Welcome aboard!

Shout out to Eugene V. Debs - the first incarcerated person to run for US President

On one hand, yes this was terribly stupid.

One the other, I understand why people are forced to drive under desperate circumstances to get to work, doctors appointments, etc. because public transit in most places is so bad it’s worthless.

I just took 3 advil because my THC lotion wasn’t up to the task.

Shut up.

There’s a reason that your instance (and others) has defederated from hexbear.

there's really no need to take possibly dangerous pharmaceuticals when a little lotion or aloe vera can do the trick.

antihistamines are designed to fight histamines, that is allergens. itchiness from dry skin (from a healing tattoo) is not an allergic reaction, so treating it with allergy medication isn't appropriate and exposes the patient to unnecessary risks from the drugs in the medication.

no scratchies! but gentle pats are acceptable! moisturizing will help relieve the itchiness.

also, very nice!

i don't think hexbear is a good sample group for the average lemmy user nor representative of lemmy users a whole. you might do better sampling lemmy.world, or assembling a meta poll from the top 5 or top 10 instances.

Pope Francis apologizes for using a homophobic slur during a meeting with bishops | CNN

“The Pope never intended to offend or express himself in homophobic terms, and he extends his apologies to those who felt offended by the use of a term, as reported by others,” the Vatican said in a Tuesday statement.

“As he (Pope Francis) has said on several occasions, ‘in the Church there is room for everyone, everyone! No one is useless, no one is superfluous, there is room for everyone. Just as we are, everyone.’”

Seems like they’re playing it off as “grandpa had a woopsie”.

Ok, but $40 for 7 hours? You can get a 1-hour flight for $129

We really need more high-speed rail

Your argument is ridiculous.

You asked me why I don’t want multiplayer Fallout, and I told you. If you don’t like it, that’s your problem.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 4 months ago (2 children)

Fallout should only ever be a single-player game. The whole point is that you’re going it solo. That’s where it shines.

But more than that, I have never had a gaming experience that wasn’t made worse with other players.

But how much of it has actually been distributed?

It’s an Ubuntu downstream maintained by Linux box maker System76 which is targeted for both general usability and design/media applications. They will soon be debuting their own home-spun desktop environment, Cosmic DE, which is highly anticipated by the Linux community.

How does the community here feel about this distribution and the company that has brought it to us? How do you feel about the projects that they’re working on, and their goals for the distribution moving forward?
