I want to spill my coffee all the time too

[–] [email protected] 25 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It should be fine if you have the ability to open your hand a little and grab this mug like you grab a glass.

With how thin the mug is, it’ll be way too hot to hold if doing coffee/tea. It’s a novelty design and disregards all the functionality of a mug. I was gifted some slim factor mugs and they were completely useless, but they looked nice.

Why do you have to call me out like that?

[–] Timecircleline 3 points 11 months ago

Hey, at least they said you look nice

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago

I’ve known shepherd pie to be quite the opposite

[–] [email protected] 23 points 11 months ago

Ha I can do that without some fancy cup

This would be more analogous to rock climbing if cliffs regularly and rapidly rotated 90-120 degrees and your center of mass shifted and oscillated like a fluid at the same time. A grip that works one direction does not necessarily work nearly as well when rotated or weight shifted.

If you can't get enough grip on a pinch to drink from a coffee mug, you won't have enough to hold your body weight.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 11 months ago

That is also true.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 11 months ago

I think it's just a neat mug for someone into rock climbing, not meant to actually train someone.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 11 months ago

True with crimps, not as important with pinches, which is what this mug is

Yeah, I mean I'd probably just ask for a regular mug, but isn't this more of a novelty and not really marketed to us?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 11 months ago

not just a rock. a hot rock at that.

want a challenge? pour McDonald's coffee in

[–] the_rogue 7 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Why ?? Wouldn't it me more grippy than usual plain smooth glasses and cups ?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 11 months ago (3 children)

It's replacing the ear of the cup. You're not supposed to hold it by grabbing it with your hand (like a glass), but by the tip of your fingers.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 11 months ago (3 children)

I'm sorry, the ear? You mean the handle?

Who calls it the ear?

[–] Poiar 10 points 11 months ago (1 children)

In Denmark we call it Hank

Ear seems reasonable enough compared

[–] [email protected] 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

What surname do you give it?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 11 months ago
[–] [email protected] 4 points 11 months ago
