I've seen some really hilarious letters from various entities to sovcits. They have zero fucks left to give.
I mean, if I were a lawyer writing one of these letters, I feel like there is much stronger language they could use to stomp all over sovcits’ beliefs. Like, literally calling them “sovereign citizens” and citing cases where sovcits were dealt harsh punishment, and getting a little more personally flippant about the entire concept/movement.
You're misreading it. They just say that "fictitious name" is used by a PA government agency.
Also, you can request verification of your debt from any debt collector. It's a good way to fend off those scam debt collectors who ask for payment for something from a million years ago.
Every debt collector has to have proof that you owe the money. If they just have an old list of names they will be scared away.
Unlike a lot of sovvy incantations, asking for proof of debt is something that's reasonable and can work. Just not when you try it on the government.
He has his own records though, presumably he went to college, the education has obviously not taken, and knows how much he owes. He will have also been sent paperwork already with the total amount on it, so he's just asking for the same piece of paper again.
Oh, he knows whether or not he owes the debt. The point is, debts get traded between debt collection agencies and sometimes they can lose the paperwork. So then when you challenge them to show proof they can't find any and can't keep chasing you. If they do have proof then you aren't really any worse off.
Again, not something that will work in this guy's case, but it's not an insane thing to attempt.

It's crazy, they really think legalese is akin to magic spells. If they just say the right words they can get whatever they want. How do they not have the thought process, "if this worked, everyone would be doing it"?

SovCits have Facebook pages full of other SovCits saying it works. They're lying of course, either because they're selling something or for the attention and praise of their peers, but they constantly hear that this works for others.
I've learned these people like to live in a fantasy land. They go around making these posts and it makes this fantasy and these things feel like they are real and working. The bigger the community and more posts the better it makes them feel.
Eventually the times comes to follow through on these things and then the movements fall apart whether it be flat earth, vaccine denial, or election denials, truth will eventually prevail and these losers will find some other cause to whine about.
Or even, “if this worked, how come no one telling me about it has shown me that it’s worked for them?”
It’s like they watch court shows and think the lawyers and judge are casting legal spells at each other in an epic legal Harry Potter Voldemort battle.
The list of potential charges is staggering. Those are basically all of the non-violent charges that will come with heavy prison times including mail fraud. That one is especially nasty.
They're obviously just trying to scare him into shutting up. It won't work because these idiots don't think the law actually applies to them, but it's a good effort.
But in general that's what happens in court cases, you seek the maximum amount of damages knowing full well that many of the charges won't stick. I'm pretty sure mail fraud isn't even realistic here, because what fraud is being committed? The guys just been annoying.

You cannot create an affidavit and then not submit it to a court, otherwise it's just a piece of paper. What gives it legal weight is the consequences the court imposes on you for falsehoods. Without those consequences there's no reason that it would have any legal weight behind it.
So will they are doing is asking for a letter to prove they owe money, which they actually have already got.
