Tildes is not federated and also in an invite-only beta. Regardless I still recommend giving them a quick check, there's no harm in using multiple websites and I feel that the discussion quality at tildes.net is very high quality. Much better than what was on a lot of Reddit, but it is also very different from Reddit or Lemmy / Kbin for that matter.
