I understand both states don’t have reciprocity with any other states but I have a bit of a weird situation… I have my journeyman license in NY and I want to get it in NJ. Problem is, I didn’t go through a formal apprenticeship where you take classes since I was organized into a union. So while I have the required documented experience, I don’t have the required classroom training. I’m going to make some calls tomorrow to find out but figured I’d see if anyone on here could give some insight first. Would I have to take classes and pretty much go through an apprentice before I apply for my NJ license? Thanks in advance!
