Welcome to another sailing community! Hopefully there's some crew around to liven the place up! Anything wind powered goes!

greetings from south atlantic (Argentina). I sail a Super 22; its a local design so I dont't think it is well known abroad but it is very comfortable and fast

I've never heard of it, but that doesn't mean anything! There's a million boats I've never heard of lol!

How many crew? Is there a good fleet where you race? Do you race one design?

Ideal crew 2 but I mostly sail solo. In my city there are only two of them. I raced a few times but she is better at cruising

I'm a Great Lakes sailor, I race on other people's keel boats (mostly a Chaser 29) and race my own dinghies. I've built some opti's, have a couple CL 16's and just bought a Snipe.

Any other sailors out there? What do you sail?

I've never sailed anything myself, but I used to volunteer (or tag along as my father volunteered) on some historic tall ships. Always wanted to learn to properly sail. Ought to get a sunfish or something and try the Chesapeake bay.

You should! Sailing is one of those things that's really easy to pick up and gets trickier and trickier the more you learn. I've never sailed a sunfish but I hear it's a grown up Opti, a great boat to start in! But there's also a huge fleet of racers. The nice thing about dinghy sailing is you can get started really cheap. Usually the trailer is worth more than the boat!

That sounds ideal. I'll see what I can come up with this year. I listen to too much nautical music and sea shanties not to be a sailor myself!
