I've never actually heard of this comic outside of your posts, but I have to admit you've got me hyped :D
Bloom County
Hello fellow Bloom County fans!
About this community and how I post the comic strip… The comics are posted in chronological order on the day (usually) they were released. Posting them to match the release date adds a bit of fun and nostalgia to match the experience of reading them in the newspaper for first time. Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. It really sucked when I missed a day. Only years later, when I got the books was I able to catch up on the missed strips.
Bloom County is an American comic strip by Berkeley Breathed which originally ran from December 8, 1980, until August 6, 1989. It examined events in politics and culture through the viewpoint of a fanciful small town in Middle America, where children often have adult personalities and vocabularies and where animals can talk. On July 12, 2015, Breathed started drawing Bloom County again. The first revived strip was published via Facebook on July 13, 2015... Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloom_County

It is an amazing comic! I got into it back in the 80s at age 9 or so. And if I had one wish it would be for wings that work.
I read the comics everyday as a kid, my parents got the paper. I never understood Bloom County, I'm looking forward to seeing if it's better now that I'm old.
I grew up in a small town that had a very small newspaper which had no comics. So I only saw Bloom County on Fridays (we got the paper from the big city on Friday for the week’s tv schedule) and my grandmother saved the Sunday comics for me. But as soon as the books were released I bought all of those. Over the years I have reread them many times, but never in order.
I've often thought through the years that it's the best comic I've ever read.
Hype levels now over 9000
Hope you like it.
I'm here for it!
My wife also grew up with it and even had her own Bill the Cat. She's psyched too!
Really used to enjoy this one. Especially because of these guys.
What luck! I loved Bloom County, and this is the very first time I’ve caught one of your posts! I have definitely subscribed. Thanks!
Perfect timing ;)
