How I could see the "Sin Bin" idea working out with current reffing.
You're playing a team, let's call them Oldfortress, they commit multiple tactical fouls and get away with it, your team commits one and a player gets sin-binned, Oldfortress go and score while you are a man down, fans are angry.
Refereeing will always be inconsistent but adding harsher punishments to certain things will exacerbate those inconsistencies.
It'll just give officials a bit more of an excuse to not give blatant calls at the outset.
Also, it'll bound to affect teams as well. If you know you have 10 mins or so to absolutely blitz a team whilst they're down, there goes an overall game plan. Same with the opposing team, defensively.
