Going to be controversial here and say i was pretty dissapointed in how the sub reacted to the Newcastle game last night (an entire post about it really?) after weeks of going on and on about how the standard of officiating is the real problem and other clubs need to get behind us we just revert to tribalistic gotchas as soon as it happens to someone else.
Just goes to show how many people only stood behind the club and their statement because we were on the receiving end.
It's all fun and games till you're on the receiving end of it, and hilariously it didn't take long, fuck them. Yeah nothing will change till clubs are united over it but that's not going to be changed by people on reddit. They're all applauding how "dignified" Howe was in not complaining, as if that's the way to stop it happening again.
You can't be "robbed" when you concede 4xg - maybe try to win a game via something other than dirty play and fist pumping whenever you kick the ball out for an opposition throw. I've got zero sympathy for their luck running out, can't get by on home ground advantage and referee assistance forever
the thing is it was a penalty, we all know the rules for handball in europe are nonsense. it wasn’t a misapplication of the rules like our grievances, so they don’t need any backing up because there’s nothing to complain about ref wise. their issue is with the rule itself not the people enforcing it
It's strange how people are celebrating blatant corruption, wait until we play PSG and we get shafted they will change their tune.
I can recognize that it was a poor decision that hurts the game, while also enjoying the turnabout of cunts like Shearer whining about last night's decision after telling us to stop doing the same a couple weeks ago.
