Your instance is probably defederated from the nsfw instances the content gets posted to.

One of the biggest issues with the fediverse in my opinion, even the all feed is pre curated by what your instance has defederated. Lemmy needs a way for people to find content outside this filter bubble they are most likely not even aware of.

Or the community just doesn't get federated yet as no one in the instance is visiting/subscribed to that particular community.

Sounds about right. I'm not sure how all this instance stuff works yet. Pretty sure I just signed up through lemme.ee then used jerboa to browse it. Are there ways to get more NSFW content

You can see what your instance, or any instance, is federated / defederated with by going to, for example, lemm.ee/instances

Down at the bottom of the list you should see who they have defederated, meaning lemm.ee and those will not share content amongst each other.

So if you want to see more stuff you need to make a new account somewhere with less or no defederation. Personally I recommend lemmy.zip, I chose it specifically because they only defederate illegal content and meta. From there I can do the blocking of stuff I don’t want to see myself, I just like to have that control and not someone else.

Sure thing, happy furry porn browsing

I just want regular porn though. Guess I can block stuff as I go. Thanks all the same.

No judgement here lmao

I was just joking though, I blocked so many furry porn communities it’s crazy. Almost as many out there as hentai

Ok I just got approved for lemmy.zip can I use jerboa to browse it? I kind of like the way this app is. I guess I'll figure it out lol. Thanks for the help though really.

You can just log in with your new account in any Lemmy client, the ones I have tried so far all support multiple accounts as well so you can switch on the fly. Also you’re quite welcome, it takes a bit of time to figure out how it works around here
