It’s the total unwillingness to have any conversation that gets me. That’s only driving more and more supportive people away.
Athletes take steroids with life altering effects All. The. Time. But considering that even one person might be using support of the trans community to act maliciously is complete and utter bigotry.
Even if we assume everyone is acting in good faith… doesn’t this discussion go both ways? Don’t we want trans men able to compete with peers of their physical abilities?
There will never be a one size fits all solution. But “lol they want to discuss it fucking transphobe”… you don’t need me to state how unproductive that mindset is.
