I don't agree with several of his points, but he raises some interesting issues nonetheless.

War: as long as we all live on earth we are very unlikely to destroy the planet in a war.

As soon as we have a second functional planet... Destroying the earth is now a valid military strategy

A "functional" independent civilization on Mars is a long way (millennia) off, and not really relevant to the topic of the video. Cody is advocating for a ban on all human Mars missions, even short term research missions. I'm not sure that this is feasible, reasonable, or wise.
