I'm not smart enough to be an engineer, but I'll take that as a compliment!
Actually more about your rather...utilitarian and standardized view of all living beings, which fits quite well with the way a stereotypical engineer thinks afaik ๐
One of my favorite quotes from one of Ze Frank's True Facts videos was something like "Life is basically finding things to put in one end and finding places to put what comes out the other end."
Ze Frank must be protected from mantis shrimp at all costs ๐โค๏ธ
I know some pretty dumb engineers.
