Love seeing these two together, but sometimes it feels like Megumi is a bit of a buzzkill.
I tend to agree, but I think to Shun, that's part of her charm.
She tries to be the serious professional, but underneath that, she's potentially even more immature than he is - she has this literally childlike wonder and enthusiasm and glee. And Shun loves to try to get her to let her guard down and let that part of her out.
Then she gets embarrassed and puts the front back up.
I hadn't thought too far into your theory, but it makes sense given the events of 92.
