Just happened to catch your comment from the local feed and wanted to point out that this thread is in the old community. It looks like shinobu is still kicking and picked up the second cour of Nier as the first season (see the links for show info all point to season 1) and is creating threads for the episodes. The thread from rikka for the new episode is here. Just want to make sure that your comment ends up somewhere where rikka will count it for engagement towards creating subsequent episode threads.

Honestly surprised that shinobu still lives though. The little crontab that could.

I like the dragon design too! I much prefer them as these overgrown tadpole looking things compared to the first episode when it became the super dragon.

I was genuinely surprised that the devs are still active. I had thought that Haga had been sending out reports to the void this whole time. I guess the devs never felt the need to fix the wall that one of the other debuggers fell into back in episode 2. Or, you know, intervene in the fates of Haga's friends and save them from their glitched states.

I am still liking this show, but there is one thing that I am finding increasingly frustrating. Why does Clay not simply ask about her father? I get that she might feel like she needs to earn her way to the 10th floor and unlock the potential of her father's weapon. However, just finding out whether he is still alive or not? That can't go against some kind of honor code right?

In any case, Clay finds out this episode that there was a dungeon master before Belle as well as finding out that everything she knew was a lie. I think she took it pretty well! @[email protected]

Azumanga Daioh is fantastic and I loved it. I have recommended it to a couple people recently and been told that it is too slow. However, I am convinced it is the kids that are wrong.

  • Dedede - #45
  • Dungeon People - #41

Also, another show I have enjoyed this season is Love is Indivisible by Twins down at #30. Some shows seem to be really flying under the radar of the AC audience.

Oshi no Ko tops the chart for the first time this season with an excellent episode this past week. There were also two big movers in the top 10 in MHA and Last Crusade. I don't watch either show, so I am guessing they had some big climaxes this past week.

My goodness. This chapter feels very meta. I mean, when you see lines like this from Takae, you know that the author knows what is going on. It feels like it is the author speaking to themselves to get out of a funk.

In a recent episode of Oshi no Ko, currently in an arc about a manga author, there was a point at which they explained the two jobs that an editor has:

  1. Help improve the story through feedback to the author
  2. Make sure a successful series never ends

For ages now in this series, the story has been frozen in amber, so good job editor-san! Hopefully stuco prez can help the author fight back and move things along in the narrative.

In fairness to them, they probably contracted the work to a Chinese studio who then further subcontracted to a NK one. I imagine it might be difficult to keep track of all the web of subcontractors if your primary contractors aren't up front with you about it.

Yeah, this is a pretty dense protagonist move for sure.

Also, totally agreed with your thoughts on Uruchika. She is turning out to be a great mentor to and supporter of Komori. It reminds me that we haven't actually seen the witch that was supposed to be the master of Komori in a long time. She has kind of been replaced by Uruchika and I fully welcome it.

Kana really called him out this episode and hit the bullseye. He is always putting up a flawless front, whether that is emotionless stoicism, or feigned geniality like on the dating show. He doesn't know how to express actual emotion because he tries to never feel actual emotion.

I totally get how seeing flaws in Aqua actually makes him more likeable. It reminds me a bit of kintsugi, a pottery repair technique in which the previous breaks are actually highlighted and treated as part of the history of the object instead of hidden, adding to the piece.

Yeah, it isn't super clear just from headlines, but it is unlikely she will actually serve time in prison. She was given a suspended sentence. So, as long as she doesn't commit any similar offenses in the next three years, she will have been considered as having served her time without actually going to prison.

Something people are missing just based on the headline is that this is a "suspended sentence." So, there is a period of three years where, as long as she doesn't commit any similar offenses, she will have been considered as having served her time without actually going to prison.
