You can't date girls on bumble if you don't have a job. And once you get a job, they'll all think you're a loser unless you have a fancy job. And once you have a fancy job, you'll find there are more productive things to spend your spare time on.

Sounds like a win to me, spending your time on more worthwhile things than online dating.

Which is, like, pretty much anything. It's a wide world out there, and online dating is a really sad corner of it.

The apps literally lose money if you get a date and start a relationship in them

Would you define a long distance relationship that's lasted for multiple years with daily video chats as online dating?

[–] sugar_in_your_tea 3 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

That's not really up to me, but no. I dated my wife for over a year online before we got married, and we've been together for a long time now.

I'm more talking about dating apps and the relatively shallow hookups that come with that.

Where are you living? I'm wondering if this is a regional thing or not.

Good god I'm so sick of this fuckin shtick.

A guy brings up one bad fuckin thing about dating in the modern era and everyone just calls them an incel.

Honestly at this point it's just proving their point because guys aren't even allowed to complain about fucking anything.

One bad thing? Did you read the same comment I did? Making wide sweeping negative generalizations against an entire gender is 100% the incel playbook.

There's 0 indication of tone through text so its impossible to know if it is or not

There's not 0 indication of tone through text. I'm autistic and even I know that. Watch this:

Hey, mate! Good to see ya. How's the missus doing?

Hello Richard. Thank you for joining us today. Is Selena settling in well?

Neither of those have any indication of sarcasm
