Seen in the ocean off the Florida keys. According to the Coast Guard all passengers were safely picked up.

Unfortunately, I can't find much more reliable information on the area. It's apparently also known as Wan Tkufi and Karakeb.

I'd love to know the geological reason for this if anyone knows it.

Seeing another post about aunt Jemima products that were discounted due to racial stereotypes I was curious what's the worst product-fuckuo you have seen?

In Sweden we have a chocolate pastry ball that was called negerboll which translates to negro ball. Early 2000s it was deemed that it was not ok and it changed name to chocolate ball.

This is a 1963 book by the American Institute of Architects awarding the best designs for school fallout shelters.

A really nice-looking book. Like they spent some good money on it.

The Internet Archive has the weirdest stuff. I've been entertaining myself by browsing text collections lately.

The sharpest image ever taken of Venus.

From the Japanese spacecraft Akatsuki.

The dark side shines in the infrared, which is how this photo was taken.

It can be found at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois, USA.

Check Daniel Popper out with your search engine of choice, because pretty much all of his sculptures are amazing.

This zoomable picture of the Andromeda galaxy has insane detail. It really impressed me with the crazy amount of stars visible once you fully zoom in. And that is just a small section of one galaxy! Made me realise how unfathomable the total amount of stars in the universe really is
