Why do we allow ants to ponder us as we walk over them?

I don't know but people, as in, my world of Warcraft characters, aren't aware of it because it didn't occur in their universe

"Went after" ? I'm sorry but responding to someone who responded to me isn't "going after" them it's having a consensual discussion.

And if your major complaint is "being a dick" then why would you be one yourself? You could have chosen another phrase. It's honestly the heigh of hypocrisy.

I'll be blocking you without reading your next comment to verify you've read this one.

how does the word "conservative" mean the same thing from generation to generation if the issues important to conservatives change every generation? I'm asking about the term, not the politics

Sorry but my time is too valuable to donate any more of it to you. I'll be blocking you without reading your next comment to verify that you've read this one.

Trolling suggests that I wanted you to respond. I don't. If you suspect you're being trolled, you should move on, no one is forcing you to participate in the discussion. Go be angry somewhere else.

No need for supporting the incarceration crisis either but here we are.

Correct. No one deserves prison.

Prison is punishment, which we use for two reasons:

  1. Fixing a problem. This can include getting them off the street so they don't hurt anyone else, or rehabilitating them so they can lead better lives. In this case we don't say they "deserve" prison, because there are other ways of fixing the problem besides prison. We could say that they "needed" it, if it's a rare case where imprisonment was the only possible solution which would have worked, or
  2. Social revenge. You hurt me, so I'm hurting you back. This does not necessarily solve any problems, but makes us feel better. If you're thinking "no we need to hurt them so they won't do it again" then I'll remind you of #1 - there are other ways of preventing bad behavior, and also, prison isn't preventing bad behavior in our society. There's still plenty of crime being committed, despite the overpolicing and prison crisis. So you can't say we "have to hurt them to prevent them from committing crimes" because it does not work that way.

Note that #1 and #2 can apply to other places in society where punishment is an accepted model, such as parenting. Punishment can be used to correct behavior (#1) or can sometimes abusively be used to hurt a child who hurt you. This is important. The punishment model is NOT exclusive to imprisonment.

You're not clear about how you use the term "deserve", so we'll assume you mean that immoral behavior should be met with punishment.

And I'm saying, no, it shouldn't. There are other ways of solving that problem besides punishment, and if you're looking to hurt someone because they did something you don't like, then the problem isn't them, it's you.

My time is too valuable to spend any more on you so I'll be blocking you without reading your next comment to make sure that you've read this one.

Have the day you deserve.

Using Chrome, I can open Dev Tools, click the Network tab, and scroll to find the videos on the page I'm looking at. This one from gamedev tv is called video13.ts.

Here's how to try it:

  1. Navigate to the page with the video you want
  2. In your browser, open dev tools (typical shortcut F12)
  3. CTRL-F5 to reload the page
  4. In the Network tab of your dev tools, click the largest file
