basically:

Pakistan, with Chinese financing, solved a problem of frequent rotating blackouts by building coal-fired power plants. Those are more expensive than solar, so people are installing small-scale solar right and left...which means that the coal-fired power plants aren't financially viable.

Also: washington post coverage

Per the paper:

The GMST-CO2 relationship indicates a notably constant “apparent” Earth system sensitivity (i.e., the temperature response to a doubling of CO2, including fast and slow feedbacks) of ∼8°C, with no detectable dependence on whether the climate is warm or cold.

This is a very very big deal if it turns out to be valid in the present world.

I'll note that much of what is in this article has previously been published in Icelandic, but that's not very accessible to most of the world.

He was. But we had nowhere near the votes to pass climate legislation when he was in office

Without context, definitely.

The options given were:

  • I know a lot about it
  • I know something about it
  • I know just a little about it
  • I have never heard of it
  • Refused
  • Don’t know

So it shows the percentage who gave one one of the first two responses

He's 60. One year older than Harris. By comparison, Kennedy is 70 and Trump 78.

That would be a very big deal; as would ending the use of food as a motor fuel.

I'd provide that feedback. They need to hear it.

What I recommend doing is finding an installer who is certified by the manufacturer; they tend to be trained to do it right.

It takes not just doing something like this once, but again and again until it sinks into public consciousness and is seen as just something everyone knows

The phrase I like is 'dignity wraith' — somebody who in their quest for power has let everything rot away, and all that's left is a constant stream of humiliation.

Running for President will do that — people who know you who think you're a harmless idiot will decide to step forward to make sure people don't vote for you.

The main problem is that there's an incredibly high bar for convicting in the Senate, and the bulk of the Republicans are in favor of the corruption.
