I can't find the story for the life of me right now but I'm pretty sure there was one a few months back where someone was talking with an LLM about their depression and suicide and the LLM essentially said "yeah you should probably do it." because to the LLM, that was the best solution to the problem.

so if I say "death to Nazi's" by your logic, you'd have issues with that. Saying "Death to Nazi's" could easily expand target to all Germans, All white people, or hell at this point All Americans.

see how flawed your logic is?

to sum up in one world "hopeful". Things were getting good. it was still the fairly early days of the internet and while speeds for the majority of people weren't great honestly unless you were in college on a T1 line you didn't know any better. you had IRC, ICQ, AOL IM, Forums, etc so you met and talked to interesting people and friends from the world over. you expressed yourself and found people with similar interests via geocities, livejournal and/or myspace.

Technology was progressing rapidly and new opportunities were opening up. Suddenly you could make a living building said Geocities sites or designing things on your computer. It was a fun time, a lot of cool and interesting things were happening and it felt like things could only go up from there. So yeah, we were hopeful for the future.

I'm fine, are you?

I think i've seen more people use "-" in emails and what have you more within the past year than ever before and it makes me wonder "did they use chatgpt to write this?"

or I've had project managers on jobs I'm consulting for use "final thoughts:" in docs/emails and I know for a fact they didn't write it. When you use AI pretty much daily for your job like I do you can spot people using it from a mile away. Blog posts, game/movie/book reviews, proposals, emails, etc everyone is using it. Hell you can spot it here on Lemmy and on Reddit very easily. it's harder to find actual real person written content these days then AI content.

and if they use EM Dashes? 100% it's AI.

working where exactly? working on a farm that will pay you minimum wage, if that? oh OH I know working in the tech sector where it's now and has been for the past couple years an absolute nightmare to find a job in.

There are NO jobs out there that will pay for the current cost of living and the ones that COULD aren't hiring, and if anything, are laying people off. And yeah, these unemployed young men are TOTALLY playing videogames that now cost $80 a pop paid via a job they don't have.

at this point I wish I owned a crutch factory that produced outstanding crutches. I would make a killing selling them to Israelis.

And these fuck sticks are all surprised pikachu face that anti-semitism is on the rise world wide. Hell even here in Canada you have people spray painting Jewish schools, businesses, and what have you. The largest Jewish school here in Toronto has 24/7 police presence they even have a damn SWAT Truck parked outside the school. But as soon as a Pro Palestine protest happens in Toronto oh boy is the Jewish community quick to condemn it and then act surprised when people tell them to fuck off.

And yes I'm well aware that not all Jewish people support what Israel is doing but it gets drowned out by those that would love nothing more than to wipe the Palestine people off the face of the earth and claim their land.

And it's not like these people learned nothing from the Holocaust, oh no dear reader they learned plenty. They learned how to commit genocide and use those that were murdered in the Holocaust as props to proudly say "it's our turn now."

to piggy back off this over the past year I've done just that. I've switched to all European and Canadian companies or just straight up FOSS stuff for my services.

OS: Linux

Email: Malio, Tuta

Cloud Storage: Filen

PW Management: Bitwarden

Online Purchasing: easy, buy directly from the source and/or locally. Amazon was actually probably the easiest to switch.

The soundtrack for it was so good. and yeah it's by far my favourite NES game.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Well lets see I wonder what the reason for this could be. Could it be the deal we signed with Greeland on Thursday? Could it be the 2.5bil US companies owe us on Monday? Could it be the fact they murdered one of our Citizens? gee which one could it be?

Fuck em and fuck that country. I hate Nazi's and it makes my stomach churn that I have to live above a nation full of them.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

Is it because you murdered one of our citizens or because you owe us 2.5bil in tax bills by Monday.

🧠 Are You Burned Out on “Big EVE”? You’ve seen it before. A dozen blues on comms, five hours of structure bashing, waiting on a ping that never comes, and “PvP” that means anchoring up and pressing F1 while 10% TiDi renders your client unusable. And for what? A system no one lives in and a killmail you don’t even remember. If you’re still logging in, it’s probably because you still love EVE, but the EVE you want — the one that rewards aggression, creativity, and independence — doesn’t exist in null-sec blocs. We know. We were there too. Then we left. And now we’re building something different.

🏴‍☠️ Who Are Echoes of the Hollow? We’re a small, vicious pirate corp based in low-sec space, specializing in:

  • Gatecamps with spine – anchored BCs with dual-web support and eyes two jumps out.
  • Small-gang roams that look for real fights, not killboard padding.
  • Baitless brawling – we don’t light a cyno and run. If we tackle, we mean it.
  • Smart aggression – we scout, we prep, and we hit hard.

This isn’t sov space. There are no timers. No blues. No politics. Just ships, wrecks, and adrenaline.

🧬 Corp Culture Echoes is built for people who:

  • Prefer 6v6 to 60v60
  • Laugh off losses and learn from them
  • Think killmails are earned, not assigned
  • Love theorycrafting strange fits that shouldn’t work — but sometimes do
  • Want to log in, get a fight, and log off without a two-hour form-up

We’re not trying to be the biggest. We’re trying to be the sharpest. If you want to fly with competent pilots who aren’t afraid to engage outnumbered and don’t need to pad a resume, you’ll fit right in. We like to joke, trash talk, and dunk. If you tilt easily, or can’t take being laughed at (or with), this isn’t your corp.

⚙️ What We Actually Do A “night in the Hollow” looks like:

  • Sitting on a high-sec/low-sec pipe gate with a Harbinger, Broadsword, and a couple dual-web Exeqs
  • An alt two jumps out calls incoming — Catalyst, Tornado, Orca? We don’t care.
  • If it jumps, it dies.
  • The fleet responds instantly, locks it down, and deletes it. Sometimes they bring friends. That’s even better.

Off-cycle? We roam, blops, scout high-sec, or just shoot the shit while spinning Machs. We always have ships on hand. We always have eyes out. And we always have a target list.

🎯 What We’re Looking For This isn’t a newbro corp. We don’t hand-hold. We don’t fleet-warp you to a doctrine ship and tell you what button to press. You should apply if:

  • 🧠 You’ve got 20M+ SP and know how to move in low-sec
  • 🎯 You can scan, scout, and think — not just follow
  • 🗣️ You talk on voice, call targets, and bring ideas
  • 👥 You’re self-sufficient but like flying with a team

Alt scouts are a huge bonus. Cynos, probers, and logistics pilots earn instant respect. You should not apply if:

  • You only want to blob and pad the KB
  • You don’t enjoy dying sometimes
  • You rage on comms
  • You need handouts to log in

🧱 What We Offer

  • Daily PvP in prime gatecamping territory
  • Discord pings and organized comms
  • Tactical flexibility — we try dumb stuff because it works
  • Zero pressure to be on 24/7. Real life always comes first

🔗 Links & Intel

💬 Final Words If you’re reading this, chances are you’re already bored with how everyone else does things. We were too. That’s why Echoes of the Hollow exists — not to follow the meta, but to ruin it for everyone else. Come gatecamp with pirates who actually hold the gate. Come be the villain./
