Is anyone else? One of the reasons I was interested in /kbin over other options was this feature, but I don't remember seeing them on subscribed or all. Is this new? I'm kind of intimidated by it but ultimately know I want to interact. I'm seeing some cool stuff! It's all on magazines I have subscribed to.

Last month I got stomped on by a coworker. My foot isn't 100% yet. I still brushed their hair at the end of the day. Some of my coworkers are horses.

Thanks for putting in something awesome, @ernest! Not sure if you want feedback, but functionality is as full as I know it to be. Maybe better. It is really fast right now! Hope you are on the mend.

In my mind, it is a challenge when I have to navigate a touch screen to change the heat setting on this new work vehicle 🤨

This is a new group to me, but this happened recently. This photo, and its caption, features part of the Amtrak station. It was a pretty big deal here. Sorry if irrelevant.

I am noticing a slow increase in conservative folks and their ability to accept climate change, and even to change themselves, bit I live in a very remote area where they depend on water and such from the land. They will still vote for Trump, tho. I can at least have a conversation with them, but it takes SO MUCH TIME to really win people over, and we don't have that time. Most of these people, i think it will be another five years before I get then on my side. At least they listen, I guess?

So he wasn't authorized to speak, but did anyways?

This is a fraud on me

Said the United States of America 🙁

North of Winnemucca. Rugged, remote.

This title is so misrepresentative that it borders on being a lie.

Old OS Sources (kbin.social)
submitted 6 months ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

I've got an older phone that predates any OS I can find readily, but did find out of date Lineage here. They also have a website with cyanogen. I'm not really worried about destroying the phone, but would rather not download something from a known bad source. Does anyone know if this site is acceptable?

Thanks!

Not a great (but also not a surprising) development for a neat section of river.

Sorry if this is inappropriate. Link came from an email, I'm not sure if it will work.

Judging by what I hear from the Republican-voting folks around me, unless this airs on Newsmax or OAN (etc) the people who need to see it, won't.

[-] [email protected] 35 points 8 months ago

This has been true for a long time. Upton Sinclair, writing over 100 years ago about improving working conditions (for humans) ended up missing the mark and the end result was food quality regulations. Now, folks are trying to expose animal cruelty but end up getting stronger protections for corporations 🤡 we just can't seem to care about living things 🙁

This, and the other things I read about (like subscriptions for heated seats) are what will lead to some bizarre third party hack market for cars. Instead of taking a new vehicle to a place for custom pinstriping or whatever, folks will get them privatized.

Mushroom poisoning that I thought may be relevant here. This may be intentional but poor ID with this one is really bad.

NPR link

I hope this comes out ok on the post, I'm on kbin and don't seem to have the ability to put a title in.

[-] [email protected] 49 points 8 months ago

This headline is a lie: a prototype is 10 years off according to the article 😐 cool research tho. Seems lacking in the practical application side.

It wasn't even a negative review, it was constructive criticism.

Packraft trip (media.kbin.social)

I'm not sure how to add multiple photos, maybe I'll put some up on imgur. I put a pic up of my brand new packraft, here it is in action! Really great week on the water. Very lazy trip, 5 days, 30 miles.

This is the definition of full send. Incredible gesture.

There is so much unnecessary advertising in my country. Billboards, commercials on a screen at fuel stations, placards on park benches. None of it has any tangible benefit to regular people. None.
