The USA was founded by slave owners and for a good chunk of its history anyone other than white male landowners were second-class citizens (and de facto still are). There are no good empires.

The human condition is malleable. A better world is possible. Indeed, sometimes it peaks out from the raging waters. Paradises built in hell, like Barcelona during the Civil War, prosper for a time and flounder. To believe that we cannot make something beautiful is to lack imagination.

The stability isn't much consolation to the slaves who die under empires

Technically the diagram is closer to modalism, which is heretical according to the Catholic Church.

At one point Final Fantasy hentai was streamed during a parliamentary session. Look it up.

Technically not. They were born with the ability to hold eggs but lost it. Not saying I agree with the transphobe, but the definition technically doesn't exclude the elderly.

According to the article, the context for the flashy headline is that all Catholics are children of God and that all must be treated with compassion, while still acknowledging that pedophiles are monsters.

I will not pretend that Francis's hands are totally clean. He has mistreated abuse cases in the past. Around 2019 he actually started implementing some reforms that have to some extent helped. While I don't think he did enough, he did much more than his predecessors. I highly suspect the next pope will be another Benedict and not another Francis. Consequently, I suspect that the mishandling will get worse.

He was an alright Pope in the end. Not a soulless bastard like Benedict.

The taxes also go to prisons and cops. Where they primarily go is a matter of politics.

A lot of people on the left seem to hold The Authoritarian Personality by Adorno et al. and The Mass Psychology of Fascism by Reich in very high regard.

These are very old books. The Adorno book has been criticised for methodological reasons. The Reich book is very rooted in Freudian psychoanalysis. Yet they still seem to be widely read and discussed.

I am not a psychologist. Can psychologists please tell me if these works are still considered to be useful and supported by the available evidence? I feel awfully skeptical when someone backs their point up by citing them and I want to know whether I should unclench my arse.

Thank you :)

I earn a little spare cash as an English tutor over the Internet. My student is a little girl in Russia. During today's lesson she asked me if YouTube isn't working my country either. She said that people are trying to make RuTube to replace it.

I can't explain to her why it doesn't work for her but works for me. Either I must lie or break the law.

Kids are naive and innocent. It breaks the heart.
