I can't contribute too much as Lemmy is as alt as I've gotten, however I don't object to youtube the way I do Reddit or Mastadon. YT will step on toes because it's a massive company, but it facilitates the livelihoods of tens of thousands of creators in a way that the rest don't AND it sold out so long ago that it's not a risk of VC cancer in the way the others are. 2¢
Reddit is nothing without moderators like threelon , and Reddit has done less than nothing with their first party apps to help moderators. To treat the lifeblood of your community with such contempt is a fast way to poison the entire well. If the spacex sub lost it's volunteer mods it would have been crypto bro hell 3 years ago.
Good post. Having been lemmying for 12 hours, the web and Jerboa UI are perfectly competent enough that I realized most of what Reddit was giving me is a quasi-social place to scroll. Lemmy is already as good as Reddit at that, it also has the vigor of a new community. I don't think this was switching from cigarettes to vaping, this is just cigarettes that aren't giving revenue to VCs, which is reason enough to leave old.site

If you want an intermediate system go 1-4, blue chest fuel, simple station limits, and pre-unloading stackers. Dead simple and can easily support non-ups limited megabases, and compact enough to not hurt the layout of a gigabase.
