We’re 2024 already?

So we are. That kind of makes the 10 year statement a little more silly, no?

Half Life 2 is just shy of being 20 years old.

Anyways, I enjoyed how old you made me feel with this comment πŸ˜…

if you have been gaming 10 years and only play AAA.

Database name is the database name, not the table name

User is the user for your database. Look up how to create new users in phpmyadmin. You should be able to grant or revoke different accesses in phpmyadmin as well to achieve an account which can only read a specific table (search for information on grants)

Lastly, Id like to suggest you not write your own security techniques (auth, etc). Look up best practices and use them (JWT, OAuth, Session cookies, etc).

I was super confused thinking those tweets were in response to this news story.

They're using a window manager over a full DE, so it's likely the usual case of preferring minimalism to the very complete desktop environment (which many consider bloated). I'm a window manager person myself, but I've been giving KDE a good honest try for the past couple of weeks. It's definitely very nice if you want the full DE experience.

This. No diss to Endeavour, but Arch is just as easy using Archinstall

I'd have to look there to know 🀷

TBH, the only times I've visited since this whole thing began have been from Google searches. I miss a couple of subs, but I think Lemmy/Kbin will fill that void in due time.

Just tried with GPT-4, it said "Sure, here is the letter A 2048 times:" and then proceeded to type 5944 A's

The stack overflow survey showed 33% of devs are using MacOS. You won't (or shouldn't) be roasted for recommending a mac.

Oh boy, Chimaera Linux and ChimaeraOS are two different distros, huh?
