That showcase was genuinely great. I'm not a usual Xbox fan but I do subscribe to gamepass from time to time on my PC.

Doom - The dark ages looks incredible

Considering this also. Currently we're all on my google one plan, however I want to move away.

Any tips?

It obfuscates the user each time you use it and doesn't log any info?

So while the query is maybe logged on chatgpts side for their own usage. Hopefully they shouldn't be able to build a profile against you.

It wouldn't be so bad if i could just launch the app and type a query...

Duck duck go have just launched an AI chatbot that acts as a middle man between the LLMs to try protect your privacy. duckduckgo.com/chat

Learn bangs!

95% of my searches, DDG is fine and I've learnt where it might struggle and I just end the search with !g

This then searches Google, yeah I'm still using Google for 5% of my searches but it's better than 100%.

Or use !start to search startpage.

I've degoogled apart from:

  • Google photos - I have shared storage with my family and I really can't be doing with sorting out the mess when I cancel my 200GB subscription. I do however back all photos up to my server.
  • Pixel phone - I try not use any Google apps/search but the phones are updated regularly and are reasonably good value for money. Other brands have the Google tracking with the OEM tracking on top.

I need to start doing this more. I just forget

I installed Linux mint on my Framework laptop because fuck windows.

I had to move back to windows, it didn't feel ready and couldn't get it working easily how I like.

Heres some of the issues(any pointers would be great)

  • 120hz just wouldn't work on one monitor, it detects it but won't apply. (Works fine in W10 and Ubuntu).
  • Scrolling on the touchpad is unbelievably fast and makes it unusable.
  • Fractional scaling is a joke, my laptop screen needs around 125% but everything becomes a blurred mess.
  • The mouse is a bit jittery and can't explain why (usually using a Logitech gaming mouse when docked).
  • Governor cannot be different on battery and AC. Defaults to max turbo.
  • Fingerprint sensor doesn't work (works fine on Ubuntu and w10).
  • Unsure how to get hardware accelerated disk encryption working?

Some stuff is better but a combination of these just brings me back to windows. It just loads and works?

Is one of the options "because I fucking told you to"

You could probably sell a 1gig service to 200 users on a 50gbps line. That's how GPON works and mostly people don't have issues.

I'm an android guy and my partner is iPhone, she isn't very tech literate and has an old iPad.

I don't want to connect the older iPad to my network but I'd like to get some MP4 videos on it of learning and Nursary rhymes for my daughter when on a car journey.

I've plugged it in but I can't seem to drag and drop. I use Linux so not sure iTunes is an option, thank you.

Are there any tricks?

Been looking for something new to watch and came across Billions, not sure how I've not seen it before.

Got good reviews and a nice cast, didn't see it discussed much over on Reddit or here.

Any thoughts or experience with it would be cool!

The local farmers market had some frozen dough. Thought why not! Not used the oven in ages. It cooked so well! Did 5 pizza like this for the family with different toppings.

I'm getting rid of google photos and Google drive but I really need access to nextcloud without enabling my wireguard VPN.

I have a dynamic IP. What's the best way of setting this up safely?

I'm full of cold or flu. Taken some paraceptamol to reduce the fever. What do you like to do to feel better even for a short period of time. Need some tips! Feeling so crap

I copied them to a stick and they didn't play. When I cast it's not HDR. Any ideas?
