One of the mobile clients corrupted all passwords for me. I ended up losing only 2 passwords, and only 1 I wasn't able to restore. Good lesson on why backups are important though :)

Depends on your requirements. I am mostly able to get along with LibreOffice and I tried Collabora, though both suck in their own way. Winedb says that Office 95 and 2013 have "Gold" rating. Maybe I will try later next week to install the 2013 version.

Well, it didn't make to the news, and the person in question eventually returned back to work, so it all ended well I guess. It was in one of the smaller cities in the eastern part of Russia, let's say that it was Tomsk.
And I also know a person who had some medical condition, something tells me that it was diabetes, but I can be wrong. So they fell unconcious in the winter and ended up laying in the snow for quite some time. And it was long enough for their fingers to be amputated. And the scariest thing that it was in a relatively crowded place, so there were a lot of people who could have helped them, but decided to just ignore them.
And don't feel horrible, it's just some of the stories, and they don't represent the whole picture. Also I tend to notice that usually all the horrible stuff is just easier to notice and remember and all the good things feel natural and just go by. At least it is true for me :)
Getting Arch-based distro as a daily-driver feels like a very strange choice to me, however I should admit that I still use Arch-wiki as a first source of help in case I encounter any problems. But if you like Endeavour, good for you! I should probably check it out too some time :)
Well, I've been in a situation where person had a stroke and everyone just assumed they were on drugs. Although the. ambulance have been called and not the police, but I still felt really bad for the person as everyone around them talked about how they went for a smoke not so long ago and definitely took something and were on drugs. And it was in Russia, so yeah, assholes can be found anywhere
Fair enough, I am looking into buying PC only as a server, but as I am kind of migrant still trying to settle down it will be somewhere in 2025, if not 2026. And right now laptop + phone cover basically all my needs i.e. work, gaming, reading, surfing the web, interacting with the local government. Not to mention that it is much easier to get around with those compared to the headache that is moving PC :)
And from my experience most PC users now are either people who bought it 10+ years ago and they just still have it, or people really invested into AAA gaming. Everyone else has combination of smatphone and tablet/laptop.
Good to know that I am not the only one doing this π
