Was going to comment about a knife as well but you beat me to it. Though I went with Wusthof. The difference a good knife makes a huge difference for cooking.

The same applies to cookware. Don't overpay buying a whole set is a waste. Buy the couple pots and pans you need individually and save.

Take a look at the Logitech G600. It has 12 side buttons and a shift mode that lets you map 12 more actions to those buttons. It has onboard memory rather than needing a companion app. Linux compatibility is great as it can be programmed with Piper. Only downside is it's a bit large if you have smaller hands.

I would disagree if gestures being faster. Mostly because animations can't be disabled with gestures.

If I hit the home button I am instantly on my home screen rather than waiting on the zoom and shrink animation. Same issue with recent apps.

I like to add a splash of cocktail bitters to soda stream water. A bit of fresh fruit and herbs is nice too.

I picked up that same Ryobi starter kit when I bought my house. I know they aren't the top of the line, but it's served me well for light duty household projects.

I always thought having some sort of eGPU in the dock would be nice. Enough to let it run games at higher resolution and frame rates on a large screen.

No idea how feasible that would actually be though.

What's really weird to me is the hard 30fps cap. Why not have at least an option to disable the cap and let VRR do it's job?

Finished the demo and I agree with most of the praise for the game so far. I'll be picking it up for sure. Combat was a lot of fun and a big improvement over 7R. The music was top tier, but FF games always seem to be great in that regard.

I'll just probably wait for a few patches to roll out first.

The demo felt like it had some serious performance issues. Graphics mode worked well but I don't know if I'd like playing such a fast paced game at 30 fps. An option to turn down the excessive motion blur would be appreciated too. The performance mode was just a mess. I feel like this game would be a prime candidate for a 40fps/120hz mode.

I downloaded it from PS plus. Had fun doing the multiplayer with my wife for about an hour then got bored quickly. Would have been pretty disappointed if I had actually paid for it.

Maybe not quite the spirit of the question but: Endwalker killed FFXIV for me.

Played the game a ton from ARR to Shadowbringers, but can't bring myself to even log in any more. The house I've had for seven years will be demolished later this week and I don't even care.

I know people loved the story but I hated it. Job design, job balance and encounter design are in terrible states. Patches are taking longer. The new content they added for this expansion has been bland and uninteresting.
