Because he complained endlessly (and nonsensically) about the LA fires and after being elected "turned the faucets back on." In other words: dumped a shitload of water miles away in the central valley during the wet season, nearly destroying the levies. This water will not be available to farmers in the dry season.

The point of no fault investigations is to make sure people actually come forward and say what really happened. If there is a fault in the plane and all the pilots are too scared to talk it will remain.

China is still very much in the let's annex our neighbors phase. I would be very hesitant of rewarding that

The whole point of VOA is to create and independent and trusted base to counter propaganda. In order to this it has to report on the bad things about the United States. This was something explicitly considered during it's creation. The notion that a reporter is undermining the government by reporting critically on it is absurd. This also very publicly calls into question the editorial independence of VOA.

Today, and every day from now on, we will be with you from America to talk about the war... The news may be good or bad for us – We will always tell you the truth.

Those new AI datacenters will get hit hard by that if it goes through. And Elon Musk is still trying to build them. That is a 25% tarrif on every CPU, motherboard, NVME drive, GPU, network switch, and optic.

Unless import duties only apply to chips not soldered into devices in which case all the foreign produced stuff is fine and the American assembled stuff is no longer competative. Oops
