I don't like Kevin Costner.

Running an 84 year old incumbent is the dumbest idea. Switching him out four months before the election when it's clear to everyone he's not up to the task is the second dumbest idea.

I'm not passing blame. Just giving an example.

The answer is for the other companies to poach SpaceX employees by offering them huge paydays and benefits.

SpaceX doesn't do magic and they treat their people pretty crappy. Just give engineers a good alternative to jump to.

I can kind of feel the author on this. I'm in charge of a lot of "special projects" at work that basically come down to, "figure out a way to replicate this extremely expensive technology or software using low cost or free alternatives". It ends up being an unholy mix of programs and hardware that is held together with duct tape and super glue and any minor perturbation means something breaks.

The richest people in the world aren't on the richest people in the world list because they own entire countries. Putin is probably the richest single person in the world. Kim Jong Un is up there too.

If you can have literally anything you want within your own borders that's a lot more than having shares in some company that could lose value overnight.

Yup, the root of flat earth conspiracy y theories is that some group is fooling everyone to enrich themselves. If you keep scratching through the layers it's always jews that are behind it.

It's just antisemitism cloaked in a ridiculous conspiracy.

I was gonna say... "That can be arranged, Mr. Starmer".

Newsome is charismatic but would be a hard sell to Georgia and the Midwest.

Whitmer would be good since she'd motivate more women to vote and would do will in the Midwest.

Harris is right out. She has negative charisma.

Raskin has charisma but he's an old ugly white guy. Wouldn't turn out the youth vote.

Jeffries would be a good pick if he had started campaigning a year ago.

Stacy Abrams is in the same boat. If she had a year to get more name recognition she'd have a chance.

Aoc, Crockett, and moskowitz are good back benchers but won't be ready for a few more years yet, if ever.

If I had to choose it'd be Whitmer. She has the fewest negatives, as long as there are no skeletons in the closet waiting to come out.
