"So misinformation is different from disinformation."

that's correct.

"I have no idea if you're doing that"

I'm not, I'm just working through all the baseless deniers pretty quickly here, so I'm not giving you the attention maybe you think you deserve?

"you seem to be now acknowledging, there's no real indication of fraud in 2024,"

nope, you got this incorrect also.

because we know the fake electro scheme occurred and Trump tried to fabricate votes in Georgia for years ago (these are two separate incidents of electoral fraud that indisputably occurred), then 2 years later we know because they admitted it, that Trump's lawyers hired people to steal voting software that was used by 90% of voters in swing States in this election, those multiple instances of specifically criminal vote manipulation is at least circumstantial evidence for vote manipulation occurring this year as well.

you have a problem with this one other scientist, so again try to stick to the facts.

or write that once I had testimony and letter, but then listen to all the other computer. scientists who are telling you that the voting machines Trump's team has had access to for 3 years could easily have been manipulated and they literally tried to steal the election 4 years ago and Trump literally tried to fabricate votes four years ago.

4 years ago was the last presidential election in case you're not following.

so if they already did it, and they failed, and then they said they were going to try again, maybe they succeeded this time.

We should probably check, huh?

"your narrative"

you're one of those " facts are opinions" people?

"so I think I'll discontinue now."

took you a real long message to tell me you're going to stop talking.

[–] Varyk 6 points 2 months ago

4 years ago, we know for sure because conspirators in the fake elector scheme have talked to the doj and the FBI that they tried to steal the presidential election by manipulating votes.

2 years after that, Trump's lawyers had people steal the software from the voting machines that 90% of voters in those swing States used.

so a bunch of computer scientists are saying hey. they literally already tried to do it and failed, let's make sure they didn't try and succeed this time.

it's more than an outlandish theory, it's voting manipulation that we know has already happened and we know could happen again, except this time they have had the voting software for 3 years

[–] Varyk 1 points 2 months ago (6 children)

1.you're being so informal and dude-ish with me, though.

  1. do you think you win arguments by running down tangents and just ignoring all the facts or relevant topics?

haha, because I'll tell you, that's not how you do it.

again the facts:

4 years ago, Trump and his team perpetrated the fake electors game and try to steal the election.

2 years after that, we had proof that they stole voting software.

now, many security experts are telling us that because of that stolen software and the fake electro scheme, we should manually count the votes in the states that determined the presidential election because they easily could have been manipulated or fabricated.

you don't like this one other scientist guy.

fine, write him a me and letter where you make stuff up about him.

but all that other stuff is real and all those other computer scientists?

also real, whether you like it or not.

[–] Varyk 8 points 2 months ago

it does not matter that she conceded.

The concession is not legally binding, it's a polite thing that politicians do.

If it turns out that enough votes are are illegitimate, then the states swing to kamala and she becomes the president-elect.

since there have been convictions and admissions that they tried to steal the presidential election in 2020 via the fake electors scheme, this is not an outlandish theory, but something that has happened before on a broader scale.

We have no idea what's going to happen, but it's crazy that the dems didn't order manual recounts in all the swing states since Trump's lawyers hired people to literally steal the election software we used for 90% percent of the voters in those States.

[–] Varyk -1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (6 children)

you literally don't believe in the fake electors game?

none of the convictions, none of the affidavits, none of the courtroom admissions reported on are real to you?

you just live in this fantasy world where only the things you've heard of before from YouTube videos exist?

I mean it checks out, but...you must have a rough life If you have to make that many things up.

[–] Varyk -2 points 2 months ago (6 children)

I get that you don't like edits, but you should get into that because you make a lot of mistakes with what you write.

I use speech to text and then edit manually.

doesn't change the facts Jack.

I edited my comments before you asked me any questions or made up your little stories.

also stop talking about 2000, the guy was right about the 2004 election (that's another edit I made again before you asked me the question).

you can scroll up and try reading for a change.

"How is it defeatist, if it actually agrees with your points? "

because she isn't calling for a recount, she's telling everyone to calm down and just accept this possible conspiracy even though we all know that conservatives perpetrated a similar conspiracy for years ago.

she doesn't like conspiracies I guess.

The word scares a lot of people.

it just means a group of people working together to do something.

those are the facts Jack.

[–] Varyk 7 points 2 months ago (2 children)

no dude. not even close to on point on anything.

read the article, hahah.

better yet, just read the open letter from the 8th scientists, or any of the other open letters floating around there to Harris.

do you know about the fake electors came 4 years ago?

2 years later it came to light in court that Trump's lawyer is hired people to steal the election software from our most popular voting machines .

The machines that were used this year in this election.

so we know that there were fake electors casting fake votes trying to steal the presidential election 4 years ago and they lost.

now we know that they stole the election software from voting machines and doesn't look computer security analysts are saying hey, these numbers look weird. let's do a manual recount since they have access to the voting machines that 90% of Americans used to determine this election.

these are facts Jack

[–] Varyk 0 points 2 months ago (8 children)

The very fact that you use the word blueanon unironically one presented with concrete facts is kind of tipping your hand.

but keep riding on your unicorns or whatever, I really don't mind if you tell yourself stories to feel better.

i know some people feel like they need those stories

like I said, you're using those words incorrectly.

you're using your own critique of some of the numbers from an individual scientist that are not the "crux of the argument" to dismiss the concrete facts put forth by the other eight computer scientists who very factually are saying that since we know they tried to steal the election 4 years ago and we know they have had access to the voting software used in this election, manual recounts are recommended.

now if you don't agree with that or you don't like the numbers a 9th computer scientist used, that's fine.

but it doesn't change the facts.

a conspiracy to overthrow the rightfully elected candidate occurred four years ago.

there is enough evidence to look into whether vote manipulation is occurring again in a different form this year.

try to separate your personal feelings from the facts.

you may be tired and defeatist, but how you're feeling isn't important to the actual "crux of the matter", which is that 4 years ago, when the fake electors scheme happened, the Republicans tried to take over the White House through vote manipulation.

a literal conspiracy.

this year, they have had access to the voting software that about 90% of Americans used in the swing States that determined this election.

let's do a manual recount of those States.

however much you just want to give up and let this be over, let's manually count the votes and make sure that Trump didn't try and succeed in manipulating votes where he is documented multiple times to have tried and failed 4 years ago.

these are not outlandish claims, they are concerted vote manipulations that already happened and it looks like they happened again on a wider scale.

let's make sure.

[–] Varyk -3 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (10 children)

you are making things up.

then you accuse me of lying by not agreeing with your fantasies.

besides, despite agreeing with me on all three points , If she's defeatist enough to support Trump winning this election despite admitting the evidence is they're supporting a recount, she's right-wing enough for me.

you are too, just like everybody else supporting Trump.

bye.

[–] Varyk 1 points 2 months ago

haha, yeah, even if there wasn't so much hard evidence, you'd think the dems would demand a manual recount in any case, just to fucking take a dig at them.

Is it clear which works are considered canon and which ones are not?

The last virile man(Roddy Piper, natch) in North America is forced by the government to repopulate the continent.

But he doesn't WANNA.

Spoiler he does anyway, also he visits a town full of some animals, I can't remember.

This ep is hilarious, Jason is in top form. Just slinging the jokes, sliding hilarious asides into any open air. Really funny episode, go for it. Listen to it.

My HDTGM answer? it's rowdy Roddy Piper and a bunch of sex. This is a good investment.

More Claire Hummel! More Claire Hummel! Boy I wish I could draw like her, but apparently she "practices" drawing, this interesting habit I have not managed to initiate myself into.

I plan to ask a similar question for each book, namely was there a particular scene in this book that made you think or hit you really hard?

With book 1, however, I would argue that which scene stands out is fairly straightforward:

TitleElfangor gets eaten after we, the readers have been hanging out with the preteen gang while they're goofing around for a few pages, and with his death it becomes instantly clear that this will not be a fun romp. Whatever happens from the point of Elfangor being devoured alive forward must reckon with this first horrific scene.

You?

The Boonta Eve redux of the Obi-Wan series made that series about as good as the source material would allow it, it was an absolutely phenomenal edit.

Are there similar edits of episodes 1 through 3, and if there are, is there a consensus on which edit is the best so that I could try rewatching them?

The first time I Saw "it follows", I was hiking through the woods in New Zealand and decided to set up my hammock during a gentle rainstorm between two giant trees, and I just laid there in my hammock watching this spectral horror movie while the trees creaked and the darkness creeped. That was a good setting for a horror movie.

Maika Monroe is so good, this movie got me watching basically her entire filmography, and I just love the film that she keeps doing.

Anyway, I thought I saw a post about this before and I've been thinking about it for a few days but I couldn't find it in this community, so I thought I'd make sure everybody was aware that they follow has been announced because the first movie was so good.

I've checked basically every year to see if a sequel is coming out, so this is just great

Her art is so clean and stylized, I wish she had been given a task in the graphic novels.

The absolute avalanche of jokes happening every line of dialogue shocked me. They weren't real funny, but they were constant.

And the point in the podcast I agreed with most was when they were all very uncomfortable with the daughter of the sheriff telling whoever was on the phone that her dad was draining the lizard. Very uncomfortable.

Spoilers tags, please

My favorite book is #26(One of them, anyway, who knows) when the animorphs learn

TitleThat the howlers are actually children and they're murdering these children that were basically programmed to kill, and that obviously reflects the child soldier nature of all of the animorphs themselves, even though I didn't cry out in horror, I felt that hit me deep inside.

There's no hints that I remember that would allow you to figure out the howlers were all basically newborns, culled for any malfunction. They're so violent and I always recall the moment when they're punching and ripping at erek who's buying the animorphs just a little bit of time.

I guess the howlers do operate on instinct, and their main weapon is howling, like a newborn. Maybe the hints are there, but I never would have guessed. They also have stunning coordination and speed, something newborns are not known for.

Great book in a great series.

If not for the bright colors, I'd think these kids were going to jump me.

I'm so glad I was able to find this again, all credit to Claire Hummel for the art.

I used this picture as my phone background for years.

I stumbled upon this years ago after just searching for fan drawings of animorphs for a very long time, idly tapping the next button on Google.

And now it only took me 30 minutes to find again!

I love this picture, it's so well done and is so funny.
