It's always terrible comedians like Kevin Hart who complain about "PC Culture" or "being woke". And it's because they are terrible at comedy. They can no longer fall back on just saying something racist or sexist or transphobic "as a joke" instead of actually working on material.
There are a ton of great comics out there, but these guys? No, these guys' time has long since passed.
Hello fellow Texan. I also plan on "throwing my vote away" for PSL. If they are even on the ballot, that is.
Also, I recommend North Austin if you are looking for something less expensive. Depending on how close to the metro rail you are, life might be more car-dependant. But you'll still be close to more like-minded individuals, and will have a clearer path towards moving more in town if you want.

A really good twitch streamer. Just plays games, tells jokes. No crazy "HEY SHOUT OUT THANKS FOR THE DONO" shit that most other streamers do. Doesn't even use facecam except for very rare occasions.

It took me awhile to break from liberal beliefs and into more Marxist thought. There was a post earlier about how federation is good so more people get exposed to these ideas and I agree.
Hexbear has a "coolness" factor that other Lemmy users don't understand and can be off-putting to them. I'd also like to point out that a lot of people on Hex have differing views. While generally all leftist, there are some issues that I disagree on with some users, but I'm not going to argue against them that much because of unity.
And that's what this is about, unity. Getting people who are well meaning, maybe just un-informed over to our side. To shift the window over to the left so that we can all begin having sensible discussions that aren't just more status quo.
It's very worth playing! One of my favorites of the year for sure.

It's the most hit or miss thing I can get as a vegan. It's either a really great in-house, well seasoned patty. Or just a morning star frozen thing with grease as it's only seasoning.
