I've just made peace with it tbh
TriflingToad
as someone from Florida (USA) who has only ever seen snow once on a winter trip, literally every few months I learn something horrific about snow that makes it seem a little bit worse
Last months was that the salt that melts snow can essentially melt cars metal over enough time
Then it was that there's invisible 'black ice'
Now paint lines literally don't exist?! How do you exist over there? I'm literally dieing in like 50°F weather (10°C)
I've heard this one before from my conservative grandma, It's when a girl is doing something manly that the guy ""should"" be doing. Like if a girl is carrying in all the groceries while a guy is just watching someone would say "let [guy] do it, he's supposed to feel like a man"
This came up a lot as my sister is very much a 'do it yourself' kinda gal whereas her (now ex) boyfriend wasn't much of an initiative taker.
It's not about a guy not doing manly things, it's about stopping women from doing manly things.
(also note I'm using 'manly' in the stereotypical terms, not how I personally see them)
He's a femboy, not trans.
The sub says "and other eggy topics", no? Also from how heated your messages were I'd say a 2 day cool down is fair.
Edit: just saw this was 10 days ago, mb 😓
iirc thats what it's supposed to be, a place for OPs to ask if their ban was Worthy or not. It's just named horribly. Imo they should split into a 'powertripping' sub and a 'was this ban justified' sub.
Edit: heres a SS from the staff

TLDR for those wondering, it's a rag that was used as the white surrender flag at the end of the civil war
Here's something I learned, don't be afraid to block. Political sub you don't want? blocked. Person shouting about China in a cat sub? blocked.
Also add blacklisted keywords, it cuts down on politics a ton
wikibooks is cool, had no idea that existed. I'm sure next time I get curious at 3am I'll end up there reading about the history of 'vectors' or some other random stuff lol
There was a video I saw (I think it was hank or John Green), where they talked about the implications of twitter being deleted during the start of Elon. They pulled out a joke book they bought of "1000 twitter posts" and said how it would be the only recorded proof they (personally) had of what twitter was.
It's terrifying thinking of just how much information is just being put in the hands of companies that don't care or just on old hard drives about to give out due to funding. I wish there was a way to backup a random part of the information automatically, like a "I'll give you a terabyte of backup, make the most of it" automatically choosing what isn't backuped already.
Also add reddit too, the amount of times I've searched a question and went through 2024 website crap then went back to the search and added "site:reddit" into DuckDuckGo and got an answer instantly.
YOU CAN CHANGE TBE COLORS?!
