I’m no engineer but it’s probably got something to do with the softball sized hole in the engine near the fuselage. And I think you’re right about the flames that are spraying out being part of the problem. I mean it looks cool, but it can’t be safe to fly your plane around like that.

I would agree with this. Interesting way of looking at it.
But just an fyi, dunning Krueger effect has been disproven as a theory because the correlation the studies purported to find were only the same variables correlated with themselves.
Dunning Krueger is a flawed theory and the effect is not real. But i hear you, it definitely feels true a lot of times.
In my field, over confident people are unsafe.
If someone uses confidence to show their competency, I have a tendency to back off and question their actual abilities until I see it in action. If someone I am working with is unaware of their own experience someone on my team could die.
Edit: obviously in the medical field if y’all don’t know what you’re doing a patient could have a bad outcome or even die as well.
In human news they would have cliffhangers that are supposed to get people excited about staying up till 11 watch the news. So, murderer on the loose in your neighborhood, more at eleven.
In this case the thing that will get the flies excited enough to keep watching is to say there is poop coming up.
The only reason this is a problem is because capitalism demands constant growth. We can change the system and do just fine with fewer people.
Although we might have some issues with boomers aging and not enough workers to take care of them. But most of these problems are made up nonsense. We can change immigration policy and stop being bigots and this problem goes away.
