One of those bikes that deserve more love, but seem to be collectively forgotten

Eacaped the house to go look at bikes and talk crap about bikes, found this matchless g50 IOM racer, 1 of 3 apprently but I forgot to ask what made it that rare.

Well used v-rod and a trx850

Modern stuff I liked

Bikes of my era I was drooling over

And some grom's I parked my Dax next to.

Well they started out as something to literally get around the pits on, got out of hand and now they are just small cheap bikes for fun and racing. I can fold the bars down on my Dax with no tools and sling in the back of my car one handed

I was missing the track, but without a "proper" bike what were we to do?

Yeah go on the grocery getters, just the kick in the butt needed to get the above gold pitbike ready after not getting finished over the last two years, only beakdown was the shock coming undone, even the knobblies were good enough! my purple Dax didn't miss a beat, and after an hour and a half of track time we were both also beat.

(Alright to cross post like this between groups?)

It's the tank, cb125, 70's era, so bang on for a mini honda 750-4 lookalike!

It's made out of left over pitbike parts, nothing special or exotic anywhere, slap a tank, appropriate seat and flyscreen on any suitable minibike and apply your favorite paint.

If it sucks you're doing it wrong. You don't have to run a marathon on day one, do 5x3 push ups everyother day until it's too easy

Ballls. I did go with them sigh.

I have three kids and this is my nightmare.

Cut a milk bottle in half, cut a big hole shove fan in, then wire it up direct to the wall, fun instant hovercraft!

Instant means really short with lots of sparks

Agree, left a real sour taste.

Did ya ever nick your dads bike and go for a sedate spin to the beach for ice-cream? has to be sedate, she's 60 years old now, runs like a watch. with loud exhausts coz' them internals have long rotted away :)

Think I'd better bring home some ice-cream.

On holidays [OC] (sh.itjust.works)

Taken in a hurry with my phone, probably the most photographed place on earth, but I hadn't seen it before. Do you know where I am?

Really wish I had packed a better camera on this holiday.

Weather's great so, uh, take bike appart and hit it with the angle grinder?

Really didn't want to ditch the six pot brakes, I feel it's such a 90's thing, but brakes that work are a useful feature, and an overhaul now is 8 seal and pistons, not 12 seals and pustons.

Actually might finish it after lunch.

Finally got it out of the box, setup, explore the new features, amazed at those, and the extreme exhaust fan noise.

So what do I do with this monster that I couldn't do with my ender 3? yup bag clips.

Coffe (self.dull_mens_club)

Just finished up in my shed, came in and washed my hands over the sink which contained my favorite coffee mug, washed mug as well and had my coffee, it's tastes of petrol.

Lord tests me.

New Years Day Run (sh.itjust.works)

small spin, loads of people didn't turn out because the weather report was bad, they missed out!

not my photo, yoinked it from a friends facebook post, he always has a good camera with him.

Tough week, car broke, rushed out on my bike to rescue her, after the repair, in a hurry forgot about the disc lock and to make it much worse I had moved the bike backwards so had a good run up and really crunched things. Had to really muscle the broken lock off, the only silver lining I suppose was that I had my good tools with me. Raided spare YZF for parts, so maybe in the new year it'll be a pinky? Also (if anyone remembers) that H100 I'm rebuilding, ya, neutrals not where it's supposed to be...
