Oh definitely, it's just a matter of quantifying that and having a useful resource to point to to really drive that home!

I would love to see this further contextualised with a per capita value as well as a property value comparison. The latter would be difficult but it is quite common that more expensive properties get assessed more under their value than "cheaper" properties do!
The floor at one of the spaceports just fully disappeared permanently for me, and bounties seem bugged in that they are not removed even after killing all witnesses. One of the transport pods in the main city is also just permanently gone. This is on top of all the issues you pointed out!
This just sounds like an unemployment insurance program. Love that they call it "universal" when it isn't at all.
How about they make the monthly pass a more compelling option for people by making the break even point 20 trips? Even before the pandemic I would have to evaluate if I wanted the monthly pass because I wouldn't be going in to the office enough days to make it worth it.
In an ideal world we would have a system that just caps fare usage when you get to certain breakpoints, with a daily, weekly and monthly caps so you never have to try to guess how much transit you use, you just use it and if you use enough it just stops charging you (because you've paid enough for a monthly pass for example).
I would disagree with a big part of this characterization. Specifically that prices are out of control beyond housing (which is completely fucked), but outside of that Canada has done better than most comparable countries when it comes to inflation over the last few years.
Taxes are not that crazy unless your only comparison is the US, which is a bad comparison.
I mostly agree with this but more than shorter code I value readability, I would rather take 3 lines to be clear to any developer than use some obscure or easy to misunderstand structure to write it in 1.
I just hope it works so that people can shut up with the high speed rail only works in other places garbage. Just tell them to go visit california and see how good it is... Only works if they finish it so I hope they do.
But without main population centres is it going to be done successfully? Imo they should have started with one of the ends, so that at least there is a big trip destination.
Too late for that now and I really hope it works out and we get a good example for north american high speed rail projects to point to despite everything.
It's 90% on gen z with investments, the article has a link to the survey they're getting the data from (or at least another article with more specific numbers about the survey)
I find the wait times have gone up as they prioritise both drive thru and delivery options ahead of people actually at the counter.
