supposedly over witchcraft but really over land
Superstition is bad on a vacuum, but the most important reason why it should be opposed is because of the cynicals who promote unreason for their own personal gain.

The difference in the UK was far more ridiculous. Labour got roughly two thirds of the camera with one third of the votes.
It's also a double-edged sword. The moment a domesticated species isn't useful enough for us, its numbers (and therefore genes) will decrease dramatically. Plenty of livestock populations may be reduced to a tiny size if artificial meat production becomes cheap enough, or if it's decided to be a necessity to fight climate change.
Those working conditions aren't even good for companies seeking long-term growth. If you want to produce 5 years long projects that are high quality enough to storm the market, you need people who stays healthy and doesn't get burnt, which requires consistent long-term humane conditions, or else you're destroying whatever talent you had in your hands and will end up with a mediocre product.
Capitalism already has enough problems on a vacuum, but its current dominant version of prioritizing profits in the next quarter over literally anything else is disastrous.
American exceptionalism was already cringe enough, but now they're trying to extrapolate their own politics to everywhere else in the world? Holy shit they're hopeless.
And that's happened after East Germany was consistently fucked over ever since the reunification, leaving a chunk of the country extremely skeptical of mainstream political parties. Would there be people who would still be racist if East Germany had been treated fairly? Some would be, but it wouldn't define the vote of most of them.
At some point I'm going to assume that half of Lemmy users are solipsists.
I'm not saying "Don't vote Democrat if their candidate is Biden", I'm saying "there's a fuckton of low-information voters who are unlikely to vote for a guy who clearly displays Biden's health issues".
It's not "either Biden or Trump", just have the Democrats present Kamala or Buttigieg or whoever. Polls already point as alternatives to Biden as more likely to beat Trump, and chances are that Biden keeps screwing it up during the following months.
Ok, I'll open another thread, then.
REMOVED, DUPLICATE.
Why isn't the left as cool as the right pretends we are!?
Anyone noticed how Milei is constantly seeking beef with other countries? It's almost like he wants Argentinians to get lost on diplomacy theatrics so that they don't discuss their own situation.
