I still use Windows for work, but the last version I used on any of my personal computers was XP.

If AI is better than the existing voice-prompt systems, then I'll take it, but I doubt it will be.

I recently added some files to my Jellyfin instance, and some of them had their metadata scraped incorrectly. This was no big deal, they weren't named very well. These files ended up being displayed in a "Season Unknown" season of the show. So I fixed the names, and the files' metadata was corrected automatically. However, the "Season Unknown" remained, with no media displaying in it. I can't figure out how to get rid of it. Anyone have any ideas?

Seems like Chris Pine is getting surprised a lot these days. Maybe we shouldn't be asking him about these things.

I'm pretty sure they really mean SomethingAwful, RatherGood, AlbinoBlackSheep, etc. Most of what is being mentioned is before YouTube.

Also, Shiggity shiggity shwa.

The command that I can never get right the first time is ln. I always end up creating a dead link inside my target folder, even when I read the man page directly prior.

I might be ok with this if they also had "ebb" pricing. If I could walk in at 8pm and get a burger for a buck, it might be worth it never to go at lunchtime again.

This, of course, will never happen.

Facebook can get fucked. They offer even less to me than YouTube.

I don't think it's the software that's keeping it in the background. The instances I visit have seemed very functional. I think it's the simple fact that hosting large amounts.of video is really expensive in terms of storage space, bandwidth, and processor time (for transcoding). For a recreational self-hosting individual, it's just too much.

Plot twist: they're allergic to nuts and this was attempted murder.

If Scientology is against something, we should probably try to implement it at all costs. I consider this to one of the general tenets of humanity.

I think you all just have weak thumbs. I've always opened them just as the package says to. Never had a problem.

As a kid, I would have thumb wrestling matches with my older brother, and sometimes, on weekends, I'd hitchhike. I used my thumbs a lot. I've had to replace 4 space bars on my keyboard.

Never skip thumb day.

Stux from geddit.social think that the massive recent wave of ~100k new Lemmy accounts is likely mostly spammers. Captchas suck, but are they better than the alternative?
